If videos, calls on speaker or music are too quiet even at full volume, start with a few settings — sometimes the phone is simply limiting itself. If that isn't enough, a volume booster can raise the output further.
Check these first
Make sure you are turning up the media volume, not the ringtone: press a volume button while a video is playing, or open the volume panel and raise the media slider.
Some phones have a media volume limit. On Samsung phones, look for Media volume limiter in the volume settings. Also try the phone's own sound effects or equalizer if it has one, and check whether a case is covering the speaker.
Raise the output with VolumeBooster+
VolumeBooster+ (our app) raises the system output rather than one app's volume, so videos, music and games get louder. The boost is shown in decibels with Safe, Caution and Danger zones, so you can see how far you have pushed it.
- Install VolumeBooster+ from Google Play.
- Play something, then raise the boost a little at a time and watch the dB zone.
- Use the equalizer presets, bass booster or AutoEQ for your headphones to make it clearer, not just louder.
- Turn the boost down when you don't need it — your ears and speaker will thank you.
Free and Pro, and your hearing
Free boosts up to +10 dB for 60 minutes a day; Pro or a 24-hour Free Pass opens the full +15 dB range. The dB value is an estimate, and the app is not a medical device — if you notice ear pain or ringing, lower the volume.
