1. Core principle

You can use the Apps without creating an account or signing in. We run no server that receives or stores your data, and the data the Apps handle is stored and processed on your device by default. The only exceptions are optional features you turn on yourself (Section 3) and the outside services the Apps rely on (Sections 4–6), all described below. The only case in which information is sent to our server is the purchase record from Windows apps (Section 6).

2. Information processed on your device

• Data the Apps need to work (clipboard history, notes, timers, settings and so on) is stored only on your device and is not sent to us.
• PhotoCleaner+ (Android) finds and hides personal information in photos and PDFs (text, face and barcode recognition) using Google ML Kit models built into the app, on your device. Photos and documents are never uploaded.
• PhotoCleaner+ for Windows does the same on your PC, using the text and face recognition built into Windows and a barcode reader included in the app. Photos, PDFs and pasted images are never uploaded. Saved copies are encoded fresh from the pixels, so they carry none of the original's metadata (location, capture time or device details). The app keeps no list of the files you opened, and temporary files for sharing and printing are deleted when the app starts and closes. Words you choose to always hide are stored only in the app's settings on your PC.
• CallerNote+ (Android) stores the customers you add or import (names, phone numbers, company and memos), your call history with them, follow-up reminders and message templates only on your device. When a call comes in, the number is matched against this list on your device and is not sent anywhere. Calls from numbers that are not on your list are also recorded on your device, so you can save them as customers later. Android’s device backup includes this data in your Google account only when the backup is end-to-end encrypted (which requires a screen lock on your device).
• Uninstalling an App also deletes the app data stored on your device.

3. Optional feature: Google Drive backup and sync

Clipboard+ (Android and Windows), FloatNote+ (Android and Windows) and CallerNote+ (Android, Pro) offer Google Drive features so you can move your data between devices. These features are off by default, and every other feature works without them.

• Google sign-in. Only when you turn a feature on does the app ask you to sign in with your Google account, for the sole purpose of accessing your own Google Drive.
• Where your data goes. When sync is on, Clipboard+ saves the items you copied, and FloatNote+ saves your notes, to a private, app-only area of your own Google Drive (the hidden appDataFolder). The data goes to your Google account only — it is never sent to CodeDAC.
• CallerNote+. When sync is on, CallerNote+ saves your customers, call history, memos, follow-up reminders and message templates as a single file, callernote-sync.json, in the same hidden app-only area of your own Google Drive, and merges it with the data on your other devices. It too uses only the drive.appdata scope, and the data is never sent to CodeDAC.
• Limited access. Sync uses only the drive.appdata scope, which can see only the files the app created in that hidden area. The backup feature of Clipboard+ for Android also uses the drive.file scope, which likewise reaches only the backup files the app itself created. Neither scope can access the rest of your Google Drive.
• Images. Images you attach to a FloatNote+ note stay on your device; only a reference to the file name travels with the note.
• Stopping and deleting. You can turn these features off or sign out at any time. Deleting the app data or backup files stored in your Google Drive removes the synced and backed-up copies.

4. Information exchanged over the internet

Some features fetch information from the internet. These requests contain nothing that identifies you, but as with any internet request, the other server receives your device's IP address.

• FloatCalc+ exchange rates. When you convert currencies, the app fetches rates from a public exchange-rate API (Frankfurter).
• FloatCrypto+ prices. Crypto prices and charts are fetched from public APIs (CoinGecko, Binance).
• ML Kit in PhotoCleaner+ (Android). Image recognition happens on your device, but Google ML Kit may send diagnostic information to Google — device information (manufacturer, model, OS version), app information, and performance and error metrics — to improve the service and troubleshoot issues. Your photos and the recognized content are not included.
• Microsoft Store in our Windows apps. The Windows apps communicate with the Microsoft Store to check your PRO license and purchases.

5. Advertising and ad consent

Our free Android apps show ads from Google AdMob. Our Windows apps have no ads.

• What is collected. AdMob may collect your advertising ID, approximate location inferred from your IP address, and device and app-usage information to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. For this, the apps include the permissions the ad SDK needs (internet, network state, advertising ID) and, in some apps, access to Android's advertising APIs (Privacy Sandbox). • Ad consent. In regions where consent is required, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your choice on personalized ads through Google's consent screen (User Messaging Platform) the first time you open it. Most apps let you change your choice from the ad consent (privacy options) menu inside the app, and in any app, clearing the app's data makes it ask again on the next launch.
• Turning off personalized ads. Wherever you are, you can delete or reset your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalization, in your device settings.
• Removing ads. Buying PRO removes ads.

6. Payments

• Android. PRO purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
• Windows. PRO purchases are processed by the Microsoft Store.

Each store handles the payment; we never receive your card number or other payment details. The apps receive from the store only the purchase status needed to check your PRO access.

Purchase record from Windows apps. When a PRO purchase completes in PhotoCleaner+, ReadFocus+, FloatTimer+ or FloatCrypto+ for Windows, the app sends a short record to CodeDAC's server (hosted on Google Cloud): the product ID, the price and currency shown by the store, the country/region setting of Windows, the app version, and a random number created for that installation. It contains no name, email address, Microsoft account or device information. We use it only to count sales and to avoid counting the same purchase twice; the random number is kept only in an irreversibly transformed (hashed) form. As with any internet request, the server receives your IP address; server access logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.

7. Permissions

Each app requests only the permissions its features need and uses them only for the stated purpose. The permissions each app requests are listed in What each app connects to above.

• Display over other apps — shows the floating calculator, timer, notes, prices, reading tool or clipboard panel on top of your screen. CallerNote+ uses it to show the customer card over the call screen and to open the after-call memo when a call ends.
• Notifications — shows the status of running features and alerts (timer finished, price alerts and so on).
• Keep running (foreground service) — keeps features such as floating windows or volume boost working after you leave the app.
• Run at startup — restarts the app or the features you set up when your device turns on.
• Ignore battery optimization — keeps the system from blocking launch-on-boot (AutoStart+).
• Change audio settings — applies volume boost and the equalizer (VolumeBooster+).
• Accessibility service (Rotate+) — used only to know which app is on screen, so your per-app rotation rules can be applied, and to hold the orientation you chose with an invisible 1-pixel window. The service is set up so that it cannot read screen content, and Rotate+ never reads the text you type or passwords. Nothing it learns is stored beyond your own settings or sent anywhere. You can turn it off at any time in your device’s accessibility settings.
• Usage access (Rotate+, optional) — an alternative to the accessibility service for knowing which app is in front. Only the name of the app on screen is used, on your device.
• Modify system settings (Rotate+) — switches the system auto-rotate setting on devices that ignore an app’s rotation request (for example large screens on Android 16).
• Nearby devices (Bluetooth) (Rotate+, optional) — for the Pro condition that changes orientation when a Bluetooth device connects. You pick one of your paired devices; Rotate+ only checks whether it is connected, and the choice stays on your device.
• Call detection (Rotate+, optional) — for the Pro condition “during a call”, Rotate+ checks only whether a call is in progress, from the device’s audio state and without any phone permission. It does not read phone numbers or your call log.
• Call screening role (CallerNote+) — used only to learn the number of an incoming call so that CallerNote+ can show the matching customer card. Every call is let through: CallerNote+ never blocks, rejects, silences or records calls. The number is matched against your customer list on your device and is not sent anywhere.
• Notification access (CallerNote+, optional) — another way to learn who is calling, for example when the caller is saved in your contacts or another app holds the call screening role. CallerNote+ reads only your phone app’s incoming-call notification, to get the caller’s number or name; other notifications are neither read nor stored. You can turn it off at any time in your device’s settings.
• Phone state (CallerNote+) — used only to know whether a call is ringing, answered or ended, so the card can be put away when you answer and the after-call memo can open when the call ends. CallerNote+ does not request access to your call log or to SMS: to send a text, it opens your messaging app with the message filled in, and you press send yourself.
• Contacts (CallerNote+) — asked for only when you choose “Import from contacts”. Only the contacts you select are copied into the app, on your device.
• Other permissions in CallerNote+ — the foreground service runs only for the duration of a call, and run at startup is used only to set your follow-up reminders again after the device restarts. Importing CSV or Excel files, backup, restore and export use the system file picker, so no storage permission is requested.
• Advertising ID — used to serve ads (Section 5).

Basic permissions such as internet, network state and vibration are granted automatically at install and are used only for the features above. The Apps do not request microphone, location, camera or storage permissions. Contacts and phone-related permissions are requested only by CallerNote+, for the purposes described above.

8. Website (codedac.com)

Our website uses Google Analytics to measure visits. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Consent Mode defaults to “denied”, so no analytics cookies are stored and only anonymous, aggregated signals are sent; elsewhere, analytics cookies are used to measure visits. In neither case do we collect advertising identifiers, and the website shows no ads. Google Privacy Policy

You can opt out of analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The website uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember your chosen language and theme (dark mode); these values are never sent to a server.

App pages show a preview image of our YouTube Shorts video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; when you do, the video plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to that playback.

9. Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write (including any device or app details you include). We use this only to reply to you and follow up on your request, and keep it only as long as needed for that purpose.

10. Children’s privacy

For apps directed to children, we comply with the Google Play Families Policy and applicable laws. In child-directed contexts we do not use personalized advertising and do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in the Apps. When we do, we update the last-updated date on this page and the change history below.
