Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to all applications developed and provided by CodeDAC (“we”, “us”) (the “Apps”).
1. Core principle
Our Apps do not require you to create an account or sign in, and we do not collect or store personally identifiable information on our own servers. Most processing happens entirely on your device.
2. Information processed on your device
To provide app features, the following data is stored and processed only on your device and is not transmitted to us:
- App data needed to provide features (for example, history, lists, and settings).
- Content such as photos, videos and documents handled by some apps is never uploaded; it is processed locally on your device and encrypted where applicable.
Clipboard+ for Windows — Cloud sync (optional)
Clipboard+ for Windows is a clipboard manager: the text and images you copy are saved on your device so you can find them again. This section explains how that data is handled and, for the optional sync feature, qualifies Sections 1 and 2 above.
- Google sign-in (only if you enable sync). Cloud sync is off by default. If you turn it on, the app asks you to sign in with your Google account for the sole purpose of accessing your own Google Drive. You can use the app fully without signing in.
- Where your data goes. When sync is on, the items you copied are uploaded to a private, app-only area of your own Google Drive (the hidden
appDataFolder) to sync across your devices. The data goes to your Google account — not to CodeDAC. We run no server of our own and never receive your clipboard content. - Limited access. The app requests only the
drive.appdatascope, which can see only the files this app itself created in that hidden folder; it cannot access the rest of your Google Drive. - Your control. You can turn off sync or sign out at any time. Deleting the app's data folder from your Google Drive, or clearing the app's local data, removes the synced copy.
- Purchases. On Windows, PRO features are purchased through the Microsoft Store; payment is handled by Microsoft and we do not receive your payment details. (The Google Play Billing note above applies to our Android apps.)
FloatNote+ for Windows — Cloud sync (optional)
FloatNote+ for Windows is a sticky-note app: the notes you write float on top of whatever you are working in and are saved on your device.
When sync is on, your notes are uploaded to a private, app-only area of your own Google Drive (the hidden
appDataFolder) to sync across your devices, including the FloatNote+ app for Android. The data goes to your Google account — not to CodeDAC. We run no server of our own and never receive your notes. - Images. Images you attach to a note stay on your device and are never uploaded; only a reference to the file name travels with the note.
3. Information collected by third-party services
To support our free apps and purchases, we use the following third-party services, which may collect information under their own policies:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — may collect your advertising identifier, coarse location, and device/usage information to deliver ads. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing (in-app purchases) — payments for PRO features are processed by Google Play; we do not store your payment method details.
- Some apps connect to external data providers (e.g., public APIs) to display information, without sending any personal data.
- Google Analytics (website) — used to measure traffic to our website (codedac.com). For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Consent Mode defaults to “denied”, so no analytics cookies are stored and only anonymous, aggregated signals are sent; elsewhere, analytics cookies are used to measure visits. In neither case do we collect advertising identifiers. Google Privacy Policy
4. Advertising and your choices
Free apps may include ads. You can limit personalized advertising by resetting your advertising ID or opting out of ad personalization in your device settings. Purchasing the PRO version removes ads.
5. Permissions
Each app requests only the permissions needed for its features and uses them solely for the stated purpose. Requested permissions vary by app, for example:
- Display over other apps (overlay) — for floating calculator, timer, price ticker, etc.
- Storage / media access — for editing and saving photos or documents.
- Microphone — for audio features such as sound-level measurement (only in relevant apps).
- Receive boot completed — for launching apps on startup.
6. Children’s privacy
For apps directed to children, we comply with the Google Play Families Policy and applicable laws. In child-directed contexts we do not use personalized advertising and do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data security and retention
On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app. Because we do not store personal data on our own servers, there is no separate server-side retention period.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or service changes. Any changes will be posted on this page.
