FloatNote+ for Windows is the desktop version of the Android FloatNote+ app. Every note lives as a small chip above your browser, your editor or your spreadsheet; click it and it expands into a card right there, ready to read or edit, and Esc folds it back into a chip.
A chip never takes focus from the app behind it, so whatever you were typing stays exactly as it was — and there is no save button, since every keystroke is committed for you. Seven pastel colors, rich text and inline images keep notes apart, a library window handles search, pinning and management, and optional sync moves your notes through an app-private folder in your own Google Drive, the same one the Android app uses.
Is this the same app as FloatNote+ on Android?
It is the same app built for Windows, with the same chips and cards. You buy each one in its own store, but once you sign in to Google Drive with the same account in both apps and turn on automatic sync, notes written on the PC show up on the phone and notes written on the phone show up on the PC. Your notes never pass through a CodeDAC server — they are stored only in your own Google Drive. Both the note text and the images attached to it travel between devices.
Does it get in the way of the app underneath?
No. A chip is a floating window that never takes focus, so clicking or dragging one leaves your cursor exactly where you were typing. Click a chip to expand the card, press Esc or click elsewhere and it folds back, already saved.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Writing and storing notes is free and unlimited, and the Windows version has no ads. The free version floats one note on screen at a time, with all seven colors. Pro is a one-time purchase — not a subscription — and adds unlimited floating notes, inline images, adjustable note transparency, Google Drive sync, and note export and import.
